Several other convenient printing systems have been developed for help in creating items like Contracts or Purchase Orders. These systems are generic in nature, but customized to the user's requirements. Again, these systems print a variety of documents from blank paper. Multiple copies, different formats, up to six signatures to a document, and the features continue depending on the customer's needs.
EDGE has created several unique systems for a mixture of customers in many different industries that required distinctive approaches to check/document creation.
Remote Printing Systems - Is one of those unique systems that the customer needed to print checks at branches or remote sites that are long distances from the main processing center. EDGE operates in this situation as a normal check writer except, as the documents are created and ready to print they are sent to specific files that can be downloaded by the off-site operator. Or, the checks are printed immediately to a printer at a remote site that is recognized by the host processor.
Polling Systems - These type systems are again very unique. This type of a system has a timer built in that, as specified, will Poll or go and look for data in specific locations on a server or network and extract the data as it is available. Once the data is retrieved it is formatted and stored for printing at a later time or the data is formatted and the checks are printed immediately.
